Business Owners: You can use this as a general privacy policy for your website. Privacy policies are almost always required for a public website, no matter what type of site you have.  This is typically used by an online business in connection with the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of personal information, including for the purpose of selling goods or services to users of the site, or for contacting users with direct marketing information. You can update these at any time.  If you do, however, ensure that you update the “Last Update” date.

This policy also contains the required Cookie Policy for websites.  You can separate these provisions though, if needed, for your website.

Please be aware that the nature of your website might require more extensive privacy provisions and additional legal disclosures.  It is typically best to consult an attorney to make sure your privacy policy has all the necessary provisions.  They can get complicated – real quick.

How to Use this Form:

1) Download the Word Document (so that document can be edited).

2) Read through the ENTIRE AGREEMENT at least once before editing.

    (Become familiar with the form and any documents you may need).

3) Revise the HIGHLIGHTED Information as needed.

4) Read and Delete any NOTES that may be written in.

5) Last, copy and paste the Policy into your website.  This is typically through a link on the footer of your website.
